How do I join Evergreen PTA?
Membership forms are available in the office, or contact us to request one to be sent home with your child.
I am already a member at another school....is my membership good at both schools?
Memberships are school-specific. You may join as many PTAs as you wish, and you will need to pay each membership fee.
Won't I have to volunteer a lot of my time? I don't have time!
A membership is simply a show of support and a voice when the State and National PTAs fight for legislation that affects your students.
If you have time to give, we will help find something for you to do. If you don't have time, just join and let us know you won't be available. We understand.
I get tired of all the fundraising! Why so much?
We do our best to keep fundraising to a minimum, preferring to raise funds through programs like Boxtops for Education, recycling ink cartridges, and turning in Peninsula Market receipts. When we do a fundraiser, we have a need greater than these programs can provide for. Our goal is to have no more than 2 big fundraisers during the school year. If you can participate in one or both, that is great. If you can't, that's ok, too. We do this for the kids. If the money is raised, great; if not, we just have to adjust our plans.
